From yesterday’s Telegraph:
Bright pupils more likely to suffer bipolar disorder
Clever schoolchildren have a much higher risk of suffering from bipolar disorder than less intelligent pupils, according to new research.
The brightest children are almost four times more likely to suffer from the condition, also known as manic depression.
The finding, published in the British Journal of Psychiatry, supports a belief that intellectual ability is associated with mental illness.
Make of that what you will,
Ruth

Well I know someone who turned out to have an high IQ who was recently DX as a paranoid schizophrenic, his mother had Bipolar… just a random thought that came into my head…

Interesting. My old psychologist told me the reason for my mental illness was because I’m ‘too intelligent for my own good’ – I’d tend to disagree but hey ho! 😉 I’m not bipolar though, so I’m not sure why I thought this point was relevant!

fascinating… when I was in the hospital, the psychiatrist told me that if I didn’t have such a high IQ, I would be a whole lot happier. Go figure! 😉

Hi all, i know how it is to suffer from a problem like this. I have been struggling from this like a few months with the usual ups and downs so i truly know its not fun when you have a true problem like this. At a forum i found out some members were truly happy about a capsule they got of the net and i also ordered it when i found those pills at – herbalhealingstore dot com -. So you see, those herbals do work, you just have to get the good ones!

It’s a very long time since we’ve heard from you. I just wanted to see if you’re okay. xx

Well, I consider myself lucky not to have bipolar.
Anyways, this is the first time I’ve been on this website, and I’m procrastinating (as usual) for a stupid French report. I was reading through the website – I have some of these problems (to a lesser extent) myself – and I am both amazed and sympathetic. I noticed you haven’t been posting for a few months, and wondering if you were alright. It’s probably strange hearing it from a online stranger who just happened to come upon your site, but us humans have to watch out for each other. So, I hope you are fine, and just happened to be caught up with (the good kind of) life and haven’t the time to write.

Now even more people will be queueing up, pestering their docs for a diagnosis of bipolar.

Bump Isis Marie’s post. Came upon your blog after suffering mildly from a few of your symptoms for the first time, utterly baffled of course. I can only imagine the strength you’ve had to come so far. I too hope you are alright!

Hey, this is so funny, coz i have Bipolar Disorder, and people always told me I tend to “overthink” things – but in my point of view, im only making things easier for myself… haha, i dont know if that even makes sense.
Point is, i’ve read about the link between Bipolar and high IQ’s, and yeah, i’m studying Law and i put in half the effort than most people and my grades are sky high – its quite funny. But im not complaining.
But i thank God everyday for keeping me from going completely INSANE! hehe
Keep posting – i love reading these things.

But within the last few years, IPTV has dwarfed the caliber of
DVD and Cable TV. So far, reactions to the acquisition, as well as towards the
announcement in the new business model, are actually mixed, but only time will inform whether
or not just a revamped version in the massively popular
peer-to-peer website is going to be as successful since
it’s predecessor. Trading invites numerous sites is especially frowned upon in the exclusive Bit – Torrent community because it allows anti-piracy groups to infiltrate private trackers with less effort.

AND MRS. Much of the video content made available from the i – Phone HBO application
is promotional videos, interviews with producers and actors from other original programming, and trailers.
It much less expensive harmful for make than its original counterpart, and lower in fat, too.
